Paper: Study On Iot Based Wild Vegetation Community Ecological Monitoring System

The document discusses factors to consider when selecting a data transmission system for an IoT-based wild vegetation monitoring system, including transmission quality, coverage, frequency, data acquisition system used, distance between stations, interference levels, power supply, installation and operating costs, licensing requirements for transmission frequencies. It recommends using 400MHz or 900MHz bands which allow long non-line-of-sight transmission distances suitable for woody forest areas. The system would use IEEE 802.15.4 transmission standards to transmit collected ecological data.

400MHz or 900MHz frequency band which have the superior propagation characteristics and long

transmission distance at non-LOS (Line of Sight) region such as the woody forest.

Also, the communication technology to transmit the collected ecological information was used for IEEE802.15.4
PHY/MAC transmission standard.
