The project Boosting Roma Youth Employment tackles the issue of youth employment by improving the
capabilities of career professionals and young job-seekers both:
- improving the experience and knowledge of the youth workers, social workers and other types of staff that
work with youngsters in the employment and career guidance sector;
- providing opportunities for youngsters to experience and discover what it means to have a certain career,
to help them decide which is the right way for them from a early stage (14-19 years old); and at the same
time to help them face an interview and help them to present their competencies in the best possible way
(20-30 years old).
Project Objective:
The main goal of the project is to systematically challenge the youth unemployment. The general objectives
are:
- To develop the cooperation between 6 youth NGOs from 6 European countries
- To understand better the situation of youth unemployment in Europe
- To develop the cooperation and youth participation to fight unemployment between young people
- To promote non-formal education and practical life learning for 150 young people
- To promote tolerance and understanding between 150 young people

1.) Activity: Mobility of Youth Workers: Training for Professional Career Councelling
Description: Training will develop skills of people working in/with our NGOs in job counseling and career
guidance. They will learn how to transmit and teach the relevant information for their beneficiaries
(youngsters, clients, people in community) better how/where to search for job positions/schools, how to
apply successfully and more. Some participants will also attend the other project activities as group leaders.
Participants are expected to share the know-how and previous experiences among themselves.

Training Objectives:
1. To increase the capacity of 30 youth workers, social workers and volunteers of the 6 partner
NGOs in counselling and guiding youngsters to choose a career or get a job
2. To increase the knowledge of 30 participants in how to use Life Acting Role Play(LARP) in
preparing youngsters to search a job and prepare for the interview
3. To increase the knowledge of 30 participants about the European dimension of employment, the
European employment policy
4. To increase the knowledge of 30 participants about youth guarantee and about EURES the
European job mobility portal
Practical Information:
Preparation: Please prepare a short presentation about your organisation (bring the info leaflets) for others
to understand your background and activities better.
Beside comfortable clothes, bring a shirt/dress or something business casual, for the employment office
visit.
Accomodation:
shared rooms, bed sheets and towels provided, WiFi working, convenience store is 2 minutes walk away
