Configuring An HBA For Windows PDF

This document provides instructions for configuring a QLogic HBA for a new Windows server or replacing a defective HBA. The steps include entering the QLogic configuration at boot up, navigating to the adapter settings, enabling the HBA BIOS and setting the connection options. The adapter port name should be recorded if needed by ESM for zoning. Selectable boot settings are then configured if the server will boot from SAN. The LUN is selected if already zoned. Settings are saved and the server rebooted, adjusting the BIOS if needed. Windows is then checked to confirm both paths are online using Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager.
