Halar Ties
Halar ties meet NEC regulations and can be used in applications where low smoke and low flame are a
concern, as in air handling spaces. The raw material used to manufacture FCI BURNDY Halar cable ties is
UL94V-0 rated. These ties come in a distinct color of red for easy identification.

 Extended Length

Extended Length Ties

FCI BURNDY Extended Length ties are a high strength strapping system used for supporting, securing,
fastening, and spacing cable, as well as a variety of other applications requiring extra long, extremely
durable strapping.

The Extended Length tie consists of a smooth strap and a separate, compact plastic head which encloses
a stainless steel gripper. The stackable spacer works with the Extended Length tie for a versatile, easy to
install spacing system. It has a minimum loop tensile strength of 250 pounds and has a continuous
operating temperature range of -40C to 85C.

The Extended Length tie complies with Bellcore Specification Reference TR-TSY-00789. The Extended
Length strap and head are manufactured from black, acetal homopolymer with excellent dielectric
properties, UV and chemical resistance, with a UL94-HB flame rating. It has been tested for excellent
weatherability against moisture, sunlight, and other environmental conditions.

environmental conditions may adversely affect the bundling application. Used where corrosion, vibration,
weathering, radiation, and temperature extremes are a concern, FCI BURNDY Stainless Steel ties can be used
in virtually any indoor, outdoor, and underground application.

FCI BURNDY Stainless Steel ties are made from Grade 304 Stainless Steel. This tie is designed with a low
profile clamping bearing head with fully adjustable strap accommodating many bundle diameters.

Mounting Bases

FCI BURNDY offers a wide variety of mounting bases suited for many applications. Mounting bases are used in
conjunction with cable ties to stabilize and secure wire bundles, both indoors and outdoors. Mounting bases
can be secured to a surface using rubber based adhesive, acrylic adhesive, or also can be screw mounted.

FCI BURNDY 4-way mounting bases are available in four sizes to accommodate CT18 through CT150 series
cable ties. Insertion of ties can be made from all sides. Each mount may be secured with two screws, with
adhesive backing, or both, for ease of application and stability. For applications where higher temperatures,
certain chemicals, or UV radiation are a concern and an adhesive is the preferred method for securing, the
acrylic adhesive 4-way mounting bases are recommended.

The 2-way mounting bases may be secured with one screw, with adhesive backing, or both, and allow ties to
be inserted from two sides.

The Velcro tie is a low profile, one piece fastening device. Constructed of polyethylene hook and nylon loop
material, laminated back to back.

The Velcro tie features quick release for repetitive access to cable and wire. It can be opened and closed
numerous times without failure. The Velcro tie is reusable, adjustable, releasable, and easy to install.

Velcro ties will not cause damage to Category 5 or fiber optic cable since it cannot be over cinched.

MK9 and MK9SST Tools

hand effort and heavy duty components to ensure efficient assembly and a longer life cycle.

The MK9 tools can be used with nearly every FCI BURNDY cable tie. Able to accommodate ties to .35"
width, the MK9 is used with FCI BURNDY CT18 series cable ties to the heavy duty ties, including the
CT250 series and Extended Length ties.

Also available, the MK9SST is adapted for use with Stainless Steel ties. The MK9SST retains the same
design features as the MK9. The MK9SST accommodates all FCI BURNDY Stainless Steel ties.

UNIRAP Cable Ties

Superior quality materials are essential for superior quality cable ties.

from polyamides (nylon 6/6) to fluoropolymers (Tefzel and Halar).
