Program Educational Objectives (PEO) of a BE program in Civil Engineering are:


PEOs
1. To prepare students for best professional practices in Civil Engineering for Nation Building and
Industrial needs.

2. To develop analytical and experimental skills to apply in various fields of Civil Engineering like
Structural, Water-resources, Building technology, construction engineering and management etc.,
using currently available National and International Standard codes.

3. To encourage research to develop ecofriendly cost effective techniques for modern construction
practices.

4. To provide opportunities for students in improving soft skills, knowledge of software, GIS and
Remote sensing techniques, supervisory skills, Industrial training and multidisciplinary projects to
become successful professionals and entrepreneurs

5. Understand how the organizations work, generate wealth, and manage their finances.

6. Work in a team using common tools and environments to achieve project objectives

7. Design Civil engineering structures which meet the need of a segment of the Indian society in a cost
effective manner causing least number of side effects.

8. To promote student awareness of the lifelong learning and to introduce them to professional ethics
and codes of professional practice.

9. Recognize their professional and personal responsibility to the community.

10. Pursue life-long learning as a means of enhancing the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute
to the betterment of their profession and community
