Ok 78.16

OK 78.16 is an electrode for welding 0.25C-1Cr-0.3Mo alloyed quenched and tempered steel grades. The weld metal produced has the same heat treatment requirements as the parent plate and is suitable for flame hardening. Welding high tensile strength steel requires preheating to a minimum of 200°C. Typical weld metal composition includes 0.1% C, 0.4% Si, 0.8% Mn, 1.0% Cr, and 0.2% Mo, with a yield stress of 870 MPa, tensile strength of 900 MPa, and 18% elongation.
