Dylan Prentis Technology Integration-Portfolio

Live Binder is an online digital portfolio tool that can be used by students in grades 9-12. The document proposes using Live Binder in a Technical Theatre class to have students add projects to their portfolio each year over four years of high school. This allows students to assess their own growth and reflect on previous work. The integration idea is rated a 2 on a scale of 1 to 3, as it enhances lessons by making portfolios easily accessible but could also be done with physical portfolios.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PORTFOLIOS
How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?

I would use this in a Technical Theatre class as an on-going project throughout their four years of high school. Every year as they
finish as tech project they will add it to the Live Binder portfolio. As each year ends they will be assessed by the growth in their
work from the previous year.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

I would rate it a 2 because it can easily be achieved with a physical portfolio but enhances the lessons because they will be easily
able to see how they have grown over the years and also quickly reflect back on previous work.
