Minor Project

AN ELECTROMAGNETIC ENGINE

PLAN DEMONSTRATED
Our project basically deals with the electromagnetic field
concept which is used to produce magnetic force to run the
piston and that force transferred to the connecting rod and
ultimately it rotates the crank shaft and that is how the
engine delivers the required power.
Solenoid works as an electromagnet when the current
supplied to it. The engine works without any fuel and no
pollution in the atmosphere such in case of fuel engine. Coil
magnetism is used to attract the plunger.

WORK PLAN
In month of September and October
WEEK 1: Planning to develop an Eco-friendly Engine.
WEEK 2: Collection of raw material to develop the project.
WEEK 3: optimization of material into final components.
WEEK 4: Construction and design of cam shaft and connecting rod.
WEEK 5: Construction and design of solenoid cylinder.
WEEK 6: Assembling of the project in final Phase.
WEEK 7: Testing and demonstration of Project.
WEEK 8: Drafting a Project report including necessary calculations.
PRINCIPLE :

Solenoid engine basically working on the electromagnetic attraction.


It is an electromagnetic device which moves the plunger as per the coil
magnetism and no pollution into the atmosphere. Whenever electric
current is supplied to conductor a surrounding magnetic field is set up
at its surface and it works as electromagnet. The electromagnetic
force is depend upon the current flowing through coil and number of
turns that wound on coil. As the current passes from coil is works as
electromagnet and the basic idea is about to run the engine on
magnetic attraction and repel principle.

CONCLUSION AND FUTURE SCOPE


This project shows linear engine structure. In future, for more power
and torque output we can design the structure with more sectional
design like V8 or V 12 engine with more efficient power outage. Due
to use of this type of system use of nonrenewable resources is
somewhat reduced and energy for future can be conserved.
Progress:
In our primary stage of development we have successfully constructed
an individual cylinder piston unit operated by laptop adapter (19.5V)
65W. and movement had been recorded. Arrangement of cam and
connecting rod is set so as to balance forces .A team Effort has been
supplied in Construction, Development ,Designing & Drafting of
Project. We are trying to make it more Efficient and Powerful.
