I. Fractions to Decimals, Reducing Fractions
a. To convert fractions to decimals, divide the numerator by the denominator.
Example
= 1 2 = 0.5
2 = 2 + (1 4) = 2.25

Exercises
Convert the following fractions to decimals then to Percentage.

b. To reduce Fractions to Lowest Terms, just cancel the common factors of numerator and denominator.

II. Operations on Fractions


a. Addition and Subtraction of Fractions To add fractions, change to least common denominators and add.
