Short film questionnaire

Henry Martin

I am planning on creating a five minute short film with a unconventional narrative. These
questions are designed to gather key information that will help me develop my ideas for
my film. Please answer truthfully and with detail.

1, What aspects of previous short films you've seen do you enjoy viewing?

2, Whats the main scenario/twist you believe should be included in any successful ad-
venture short film?

3, Would you prefer to see a male or female protagonist and why? Does this really matter
in a film?

4, Which one of these locations do you believe are best for an adventure short film?
Please circle and
explain why.

5, Do you prefer a more steady editing pace or a faster cut when viewing an adventure
film and why?

6, Which instruments would you normally associate with this type of short film? And what
atmosphere do you believe this will create.

7, Do you believe the editing pace of the film (cuts from shot to shot) should be matched
by the tempo of the music included?

8, What sort of narrative structure would you prefer to see in a short film.. please circle.
