Reduce Bail

An accused was charged with violating a city ordinance against urinating in public places and had an initial recommended bail of 2,000 PHP. MOTION TO REDUCE BAIL

ACCUSED ________________________, through the counsel, and unto


this Honorable Court most respectfully states that:

1. Accused was charged in the above-captioned case and the total


recommended bail for his provisional liberty is P2,000.00;

2. On account of financial difficulties and poverty, the accused could


not post bail in the afore-mentioned amount but with the help of
relatives and friends, accused might be able to raise only ONE
THOUSAND PESOS (P1,000.00) cash;

3. In view thereof, and in the interest of substantial justice, accused


begs with bended knees the kind indulgence of this Honorable
Court that he be allowed to post bail in the amount of ONE
THOUSAND PESOS (P1,000.00) cash.

4. The Accused undertakes to attend all hearings of the instant case


whenever his presence is required and duly notified of the same.

PRAYER

WHEREFORE, it is most respectfully prayed of this Honorable Court


that the Accused be allowed to post bail in the reduced amount of ONE
THOUSAND PESOS (Php 1,000.00).
Other reliefs just and equitable under the circumstances are likewise
prayed for.
