• Someone with an Eating Disorder NOS may exhibit some combination of the above symptoms.
• All eating disorders may also be characterized by depression.
Physical Effects of Eating Disorders
• Anorexia has the highest rate of death of any psychiatric illness, with 1 in 10 cases leading to death by cardiac arrest,
starvation, other medical complications, or suicide.
