Characterization and Dietary Contribution of Oman Bottled Waters Proposed by DR - Reddy

In this study Omani bottled water brands shall be characterized using multivariate
pattern recognition methods. Pattern recognition methods include correlation analysis,
principal components analysis and Hierarchical cluster analysis. Since no work has
been done to investigate and quantify the mineral content of bottled drinking water in
Sultanate of Oman and to assess its contribution to dietary reference intake (DRI).
This study also aims to compare the quality of local bottled drinking water brands
with local and international drinking water standards and quantify the presence of
nutrient minerals.
