A Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in English Grade 7

I. Objectives

At the end of the activities, the students must be able:

To express opinion concerning given scenarios


To use information presented in a story to infer, to evaluate, and to express critical ideas
To create a story map
To show cooperation with group mates

II. Subject Matter

How the World Was Created (Panayan)

Reference: Grade 7 English Guide pp. 23-24

Materials: Visual Aids, Rubrics, Short Clip

III. Procedure

A. Preliminary Activities

1. Greetings.

2. Prayer.

3. Checking of the classroom.

4. Checking of attendance.

B. Review of the Past Lesson

N/A
C. Motivation
1. Present different pictures of different scenarios to the students.
2. Ask the students of their opinions about the given pictures.
3. Ask and explain to the students the common denominator of the pictures.

D. Presentation
1. Give the students a vocabulary to answer.
2. The story and the guide questions are introduced by the teacher.
3. The teacher will present a 3 minute clip about the story
4. The teacher will ask the students to answer the guide questions and discuss it afterwards.
5. The students will be asked the following questions:
How was the world described before?
What is the relationship of Tungkung Langit and Alunsina?
What did Alunsina do that made Tungkung Langit enraged?
What did Tungkung Langit do after the disappearance of Alunsina?

E. Generalization
1. The teacher will once again mention the important points and lessons of the story.

F. Application
1. The teacher will explain to the students their group activity to present an alternative

ending of the creation story.


2. Ask the students to form a circle with their group mates and prepare for their

presentation.
