Chapter 2 Related Literature / Systems


- Same requirement for IS special problems minimum of 8 related literatures (4 foreign,
4local) but only this time the students need to provide analyses of related systems, CAI.
- Literature or background of the study will:
o Reveal investigations similar to your study, how other researchers approach
the problem
o Suggest method or technique of dealing with problems, suggest approaches
and strategies
o Reveal sources of data
o Reveal significant research personalities
o See your study in historical/associative perspective
o Provide new ideas and new approaches
o Assist you in evaluating your own research effort.
o Provide information on what is current in terms of similar technologies or
solutions to a particular problem domain
o For CAI, includes 4 CAI software under the same discipline and 4 CAI with
other features that may be useful to the current study

Chapter 3 Technical Background


- Include in-depth discussion on relevant technical aspects of the project
- Somewhat the same as the Theoretical Framework

Chapter 4 Design and Methodology


- Include discussion on conceptual design / system architecture / block diagrams and
algorithms
- Presents a full picture of the project including its contribution to its systematic
procedure performed by the researchers in creating the plans and blueprints of the
project

- Present screenshots as figures with discussions
- Present DFD (from context to child diagram) with detailed explanation
B. Development Planning
- Identify the software suited for the project
- The analysis requirements needed
- Language used
C. Evaluations of the project
a. Respondents of the study
- Identify the number and classification of the respondents
b. Research instruments and techniques
- Survey questionnaire or other data gathering tools used in the study
c. Data gathering procedure
- Discuss the contents of the data gathering tools
d. Statistical treatment of data
- Define and identify the formula to evaluate the result
