Praxis Core Exam Analysis

Exam Requirements

The Praxis Core Exam must be passed before I can take any education courses at

UNLV to continue my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. The passing score

for the Praxis Core in Nevada for Math is 150, Reading is 156, and Writing is 162. If the

Exam Preparation

To prepare for the Practice Praxis Core Exam, I briefly skimmed the study guides

and study links provided to me. The practice tests that I took on the Teachers Test Prep

website were long and a bit overwhelming. I paced out the tests and took my time. In all

honesty I did not think I needed to study because of the classes I've taken at CSN; classes

such as English and Math for Elementary Teachers

Exam Results

In Math, I scored in the 81% range, which means that Im likely to pass the Math

section when I take the official Praxis Core Exam. In Reading, I scored in the 41% range,

which means that I need significant improvement to pass the Reading section when I take

the official Praxis Core Exam. In Writing, I scored in the 70% range, which means that

I'm on the borderline to pass the Writing section when I take the official Praxis Core

Exam.

Future Exam Preparation

In the future, I will use the resources provided to me, such as the five links on the

PRaxis Core Analysis assignment, to study and prepare for the official Praxis Core Exam.
I have already checked out the Barron's Praxis Core book from the Las Vegas Clark

County Library to help me further in the preparation of passing the Praxis Core Exam.
