Journal Day1

The 2nd of October 2017, was my first Practicum day in Wasit Kindergarten. At the morning
I was excited to go to the school but also, nervous because I know that my friends are not gone
be with me in the school like the last semester. I arrived on time, I meet the School TP
Coordinator Miss Sawsan, and she welcomed me and asked me about what is expected from
me to do in the school. After that, she introduced me to the teacher that I will be in her class
Miss Zainab. I introduced myself to her and gave her the MST booklet; we discussed the
booklet together.

After that I meet the students in the class, they were adorable and cute. But I was concern
because there were more boys than girls so the class will be noisy. But after the teacher started
the morning circle they were all sitting and listening.

Some of the duties I carried out during the school day was taking the lead of the small group;
the activity was a worksheet for the letter . First I asked them to write their names, most of
them wrote their names by themselves, but some students couldnt so I wrote their names in
dotted lines and let them trace the letters of their names. Moreover, by the end of the school
day, I helped the teacher with sticking the week plan in the students notebook.

My general feelings about TP at the end of the day was good. For the first time, I was happy
about the class Im in and my MST. The students are adorable, and I feel that I will build a
strong relationship with them.
