Procedure for Raising the Project In SPEL

Prerequisites

1.Create main project folder in any drive


2.Create 4 sub folders namely 1) Project 2) Backup 3) Roletemp 4) Electrical Reference
Data which is to be copied from smart plant folder
3.Copy format.txt file from engineering Manager & paste it in to the electrical reference
data folder
4. Start->Programme->Smart Plant Engineering Manager-> Smart Plant Engineering
Manager
click ok

Go to next
give site server name
give site server path \\m/c name\project foldername\Project
give backup location \\m/c name\project foldername\Backup
give role template location \\m/c name\project foldername\roletemp

click next
give Oracle Alias from oracle Manager console for eg Orcl
give system user & Password ( system & system)
select use local machine & domain groups for standalone application
select use site server & Domain Groups for server client application

click on ellipses button -> Advance-> find now-> List-> M/c name\Administrator
select the check box

click next
select oracle table space for eg SPEL here
click next

click finish
right click on Plant Structure & click on create new plant structure

click on use default template & next


click on hierarchy7 level & click on next

give name anything- here plant1 given


click next
give plant structure path \\m/c name\project foldername\Project
give Backup location \\m/c name\project foldername\Backup
give format file \\m/c name\project foldername\format.txt
click next

say yes for this window


give user name & password

select table space from dropdown menu say SPEL


click next
click next

now right click on plant (here Plant1)


& click on new create area
give area name here area1

Right click on area (here area1 ) & click on create new unit

give unit code ( any numeric value) & ok


select SPEL & click next
click on Ansi/IGR SI units & click next
give oracle table space name & click on next
click next
click next

click finish - HERE FINISH THE PROCEDUR FOR PROJECT RAISING.
