Recap of Day 3

1. We started the morning session with a game of KAHOOT. The game utilized gadgets such as
Smartphones and tablets with fast Internet connection. This application is also recommended for us
teachers to use as a motivational strategy with our students.

2. The first session was facilitated by Mr. Benjamin Perez. He made a thorough explanation about Lesson
Planning. He showed the different parts of a lesson plan and examples. He also cited the lesson plan
development by Wiggins and Mctighe (1998) as one of the methods. The difference between the Daily
Lesson Plan or DLP and the Daily Lesson Log or DLL was explained.

3. Mr. Perez continued to discuss how to prepare the materials necessary for each lesson that a teacher
needs to deliver.

4. After the lunch break, we started the session with an energizer. Those who participated danced to the
popular music video today of "Shark."

5. After the energizer, Sir Archie Azucenas showed us the online Website of the LRMDS or the Learning
Resource Management Development System. It is like an online library of learning materials that can aid
teachers during the planning stage of the lesson. Steps on how to register and access the learning
materials were also shown. Once registered, the teacher can also contribute to this repository of
learning materials and become authors.

6. Dr. Victor Javenya followed in the second session and talked about GAD or Gender and Development.
He explained the importance of developing programs and lessons that would consider gender issues.
Furthermore, it is actually being encouraged to include programs addressing gender and development
because there is an allocation for it in the given school budget.

7.The last session was facilitated by Dr. Ryan De Una, and the topic was on School Structures. He
explained the different types of Senior High School such as integrated or stand alone and the school
category whether small, medium, large, or very large according to the size of the student population. It
was mentioned that the school's MOOE would depend on th enrollment size. Thus, the organizational
structure would also vary from one senior high school to another. A large school would then have more
staff compared to a small school.
