COMPANY BACKGROUND

Ahon ministries is a holistic child development ministry. Ahon means to take out from. Its the name
of a ministry of child development in the Philippines that works with children and families that live among
garbage dumps. From that environment, life-giving education and hope are emerging.

The Ahon project works with children growing up in the Butuan City dump. It offers tutoring, health screenings,
feeding programs and life experiences outside of the dump and teaching about the love of Jesus. This outreach
began with workers teaching Bible stories to children while their parents waited for the dump trucks to arrive.
