You will initially receive a full data dump and then must download daily updates to the data, in CSV format, to use for scrubbing phone numbers before telemarketing and to update your local database. DOWNLOADING AND USE OF THE DATA FROM THE NATIONAL

CUSTOMER PREFERENCE REGISTER (NCPR) BY TELEMARKETERS

1. As a registered telemarketer, you will be provided a user name and


password to download NCPR data using the website www.nccptrai.gov.in.

2. Keeping in view the high volume of the NCPR data, you will initially be
provided a dump of updated NCPR data by the respective access provider
on execution of the agreement with him.

3. You will have to make necessary arrangements to download the delta


data (both additions and deletions in National Customer Preference
Register data) from the NCPR and update your local database.

4. You can download the changes in NCPR data from the website
www.nccptrai.gov.in using your user name and password.

5. Click on the NCPR data download button to download the data. The data
download will be provided in comma separated variable (CSV) format.

6. Use this downloaded data (Change in NCPR data) to update your local
NCPR database. Use the updated database for the scrubbing telephone
numbers before initiating any telemarketing activities.

7. The database updated on Tuesday will be operational from 0000 Hrs of


Wednesday to 2359 Hrs of Friday. Similarly the database updated on
Friday will be operational from 0000 Hrs of Saturday to 2359 Hrs of
Tuesday.
