 INTRODUCTION

1. CONTENTS
This part contains information on specialized meteorological assistance available for marine activities.

According to WMO Technical Regulations, Marine Meteorological Services Available for Main Ports includes the
provision of Port Meteorological Officer (PMO) services, forecasts and warnings, climatological information on request
and, in addition, oral briefing and display of information. Details of these services are contained in the WMO Guide to
Marine Meteorological Services (WMO No. 471).

This part gives information on the types of meteorological services available for main ports throughout the world and is
based on official notifications from the countries concerned. In addition to the address and telephone number of the
PMO, the addresses from which forecast and other weather services can be obtained have been indicated wherever the
information is available.

2. LAYOUT
The information is subdivided into sections corresponding to the World Meteorological Organization Regions, listed in
numerical order:

Region I - Africa
Region II - Asia
Region III - South America
Region IV - North and Central America
Region V - South-West Pacific
Region VI - Europe

Within each Region the countries are arranged in alphabetical order according to their English names.

 INTRODUCTION

1. CONTENU
Cette partie contient des renseignements sur l'assistance mtorologique spcialise destine aux activits maritimes.

Selon le Rglement technique de l'OMM, l'Assistance mtorologique aux activits maritimes fournie pour les grands
ports comprend les services de l'Agent mtorologique dans le port (AMP), des prvisions et des avis, des
renseignements climatologiques sur demande et, de plus, un expos verbal et l'affichage de renseignements. Le Guide de
l'assistance mtorologique aux activits maritimes (Publication OMM N 471) contient tous les dtails concernant
cette assistance.

Cette partie donne des renseignements sur les diffrents types d'assistance disponibles dans les principaux ports du
monde entier. Elle est constitue partir des renseignements fournis officiellement par les pays concerns. En plus des
adresses et des numros de tlphone des AMP, on a indiqu, chaque fois qu'elles taient disponibles, les adresses o
l'on pouvait obtenir des prvisions et tout autre assistance d'ordre mtorologique.

 INTRODUCCIN

1. CONTENIDO
Esta parte contiene informacin relativa a los servicios meteorolgicos especializados referentes a las actividades
martimas.

Segn el Reglamento Tcnico de la OMM, los servicios meteorolgicos para las actividades marinas facilitados en los
grandes puertos comprenden los servicios del agente meteorolgico en el puerto, servicios de prediccin y avisos, as
como el suministro de informacin climatolgica facilitada a peticin de los interesados y, adems, exposiciones
verbales y la exposicin mediante anuncios de informacin. La Gua de los Servicios Meteorolgicos Marinos
(Publicacin de la OMM No. 471) contiene informacin detallada acerca de esos servicios.

La presente Parte contiene informacin sobre los diversos tipos de servicios meteorolgicos para las actividades marinas
disponibles en los principales puertos del mundo entero, informacin basada en la que facilitan oficialmente los pases
interesados. Adems de las seas y nmeros de telfono de los agentes meteorolgicos en los puertos, se han indicado,
cada vez que se dispona de la correspondiente informacin, las seas en las que se podan obtener predicciones o
cualquier otro servicio meteorolgico para las actividades martimas.

Esta parte se subdivide en secciones ques corresponden a las seis Regiones de la OMM clasificadas por orden
numrico:
