8.30 Pay Personal Pay Grant of Personal Pay to certain categories Fixation
of Pay in the promotion category clarification issued by Government
Communicated.

CIRCULAR

Sub: Pay Personal Pay Grant of Personal Pay to certain categories Fixation of Pay in the
promotion category clarification issued by Government Communicated.

dt.06-6-94.
In continuation of the circulars issued under reference first, Second and third cited, the
following clarification based on the Government Letter No.120828/PC/93-1 Finance (Pay Cell)
Dt.06-06-94 is communicated:-

ILLUSTRATION (1)

A a Junior Inspector of Co-operative Societies was Drawing a basic pay of Rs.1350/-


plus Rs.68 Personal Pay (Personal Pay Sanctioned as per G.O. Ms.No.664, Finance department
dated 24-8-92) in the scale of pay of Rs.1200-30-1560-40-2040 with effect from 30-9-92. He
was promoted as Senior Inspector of Co-Operative Societies in the scale of pay of Rs.1400-40-
1600-50-2300-60-2600 on 01-10-92 and opted for fixation of pay under FR 22B after earning
increment in the lower post on 01-4-93. His pay shall be regulated as indicated below:-

I. Pay regulated as per FR 22 (i) (a) (i)


1. Pay drawn in the post of Deputy Tahsildar on : 2000+Rs.100PP
13-11-92 (in the scale of pay of rs.1600-2660)
2. Pay to be fixed in the promotion post i.e. : Rs.2000 + Rs.100PP
Tahsildar (in the scale of pay of Rs.2000-3200) = =Rs.2100
Next state 2120.
II. Pay regulated as per FR 22B:
i. Pay drawn in the post of Deputy Tahsildar : Rs.2000+Rs.100PP
on 13-11-92.
ii. Pay as on 01-01-93 in the post of Deputy : Rs.2050+Rs.100PP.
Tahsildar (After increment) =Rs.2150.
iii. ADD: One notional increment : Rs.50
iv. Total : Rs.2100-100PP=Rs.2200
v. Next Higher stage (including PP) : Rs.2240.
vi. Difference : Rs.2240-Rs.2150=Rs.90
vii. Minimum benefit of 5% on the pay + PP : Rs.2150x5=Rs.107.50
100 = Rs.108
viii. Pay drawn plus 5% minimum benefit : Rs.2050+Rs.100+Rs.180
on 01-01-93 =Rs.2258.
ix. Next Stage : Rs.2300
x. Pay to be fixed under FR 22B in the post of : Rs.2300.
Tahsildar with effect from 01-01-93.

x a deputy Tahsildar was drawing a basic pay of Rs.2000 + Rs.100 Personal Pay
(Personal Pay Sanctioned as G.O. Ms.No.664, Finance department, dated 24-8-92) in the scale
of pay of Rs.1600-60-2300-60-2660. He was promoted as Tahsildar on 18-11-92 in the scale of
pay of Rs.2000-60-2300-75-3200. He has octed for fixation of his pay in the cadre of Deputy
Tahsildar on 01-01-93. His pay shall be regulated as indicated below:-

I. Pay regulated as per FR 22 (i) (a) (i)

1. Pay drawn in the post of Deputy Tahsildar on : 2000+Rs.100PP


13-11-92 (in the scale of pay of rs.1600-2660)

2. Pay to be fixed in the promotion post i.e. : Rs.2000 + Rs.100PP =


Tahsildar (in the scale of pay of Rs.2000-3200) =Rs.2100 Next state 2120.

II. Pay regulated as per FR 22B:

i. Pay drawn in the post of Deputy Tahsildar : Rs.2000+Rs.100PP


on 13-11-92.

ii. Pay as on 01-01-93 in the post of Deputy : Rs.2050+


Tahsildar (After increment) Rs.100PP.=Rs.2150.

iii. ADD: One notional increment : Rs.50

iv. Total : Rs.2100-100PP =Rs.2200

v. Next Higher stage (including PP) : Rs.2240.

vi. Difference : Rs.2240-Rs.2150=Rs.90

vii. Minimum benefit of 5% on the pay + PP : Rs.2150x5 = Rs.107.50


100 = Rs.108

viii. Pay drawn plus 5% minimum benefit : Rs.2050+Rs.100+


on 01-01-93 Rs.180=Rs.2258.

ix. Next Stage : Rs.2300

x. Pay to be fixed under FR 22B in the post of : Rs.2300.


Tahsildar with effect from 01-01-93.

ILLUSTRATION (3)

P a Deputy Tahsildar was drawing a basic pay of Rs.2000 + Rs.98 Personal Pay )Personal
Pay sanctioned as per G.O.Ms.No.664, Finance Department, dated 24-8-92) in the scale of pay
of Rs.1600-50-2300-60-2660. He was promoted as Tahsildar on 02-4-93 in the scale of pay of
Rs.2000-60-2300-75-3200. His pay shall be regulated under FR 22B as follows:-

i. Pay as on 01-04-93 in the post of Deputy : Rs.2000+98PP = Rs.2098


Tahsildar in the scale of pay of Rs.1600-50-
2300-60-2660.

ii. ADD: One notional increment : Rs.50

iii. Total : Rs.2148

iv. Next Higher stage (including PP) : Rs.2180.

v. Difference : Rs.2180-Rs.2098=Rs.82

vi. Minimum benefit of 5% on the pay + PP : Rs.2098x5 = Rs.104.90


(Rs.1380 + 68) 100 = Rs.105.00

vii. Pay drawn plus 5% minimum benefit : Rs.2000+Rs.98+


on 01-04-93 Rs.105=Rs.2203

viii. Next stage in the promotion post of Tahsildar : Rs.2240

ix. Pay to be fixed under FR 22B in the post of : Rs.2240
