Bosch Rexroth AG Mobile 2006
Dear Sir/Madam,
The importance of the factors environment, energy, function and costs
is constantly increasing in mobile hydraulics. Whoever controls these
market drivers holds the key to success. At this years MOBILE, which
is traditionally held six months before the BAUMA, we have, therefore,
placed focus on innovative solutions to these four challenges.
In our presentations, we will be looking forward together with you.
Our visions and concepts apply into the future. For this reason, we
have compiled all specialist articles in written form in these conference
proceedings. Thus, you can refer to the articles at your leisure and
analyze how you can use our solutions for your specific application
giving you opportunity to gain an edge on the market.
Cooperation with Rexroth offers you decisive additional advantages: As a
fully owned subsidiary of Bosch, the worlds largest and most successful
automotive supplier, we have, for example, access to unique electronics
knowledge which flows into our mobile controls and modules.
What will determine the success of future vehicle generations is the
intelligent connection of mechanics, hydraulics and electronics. Rexroth
embodies this combination in a one-of-a-kind way, which you can use
to exhaust previously untapped potential thereby enabling you to
offer advantages to your customers which could be decisive in making a
purchase.
In our highly specialized application centers, we concentrate on the
specific machine, allowing us to bundle the entire experience and
expertise of our company. In this way, we are able to considerably reduce
your project planning and commissioning times to series maturity. As a
result, we achieve our goals together faster, and you can concentrate fully
on your machine designs. We will be glad to continue our productive,
personal discussions with you in the coming years anywhere in the
world.
Sincerely yours,
Helmut Wagener

Environment
Legislators in their respective countries are sharpening the
current limit values for the permissible emissions of exhaust gases
and noise in all relevant markets. Meeting these strict guidelines
requires a delicate balance of engine management, auxiliary units,
working hydraulics and travel drives. Already today, innovative
solutions from gearbox technology, hydraulics and intelligent
electronics offer efficient systems which will help to meet even
future emission limit values.
Function
Different markets require different operating concepts and the
consideration of the respective safety requirements. Modular
system solutions, which contain entire functions, simplify the
adaptation to a wide range of market requirements and operating
concepts. At the same time, automated processes stored in the
working hydraulics as well as in travel drives improve ergonomics,
thereby reducing the risk of operational errors.

Costs
Not until the Total Cost of Ownership is considered is it possible
to have a realistic idea of the total costs of working hydraulics
and travel drives. The purchase price alone is only one variable.
Compact dimensions as well as integrated modularization, which
facilitate the production of different sized machines with various
functions using the same base design, are as much a part of the
overall concept as is the efficient use of energy, the contribution
towards a reduction in emissions as well as maintenance costs.
Energy
Continuously increasing energy prices further increase the
importance of fuel consumption to the end user. The efficient
use of energy is a decisive sales argument for mobile equipment.
The intelligent combination of hydraulics, gearbox technology
and digital control electronics with sophisticated software opens
considerable potential for energy savings for new and even for
some already implemented machine concepts.
