Introduction - How to choose a "good" dictionary:


Definition of a "good" dictionary (what to look for)
American English or British English
Publishers (Webster's or Oxford)
Shopping for an affordable dictionary
Hard cover versus soft cover

How to read a dictionary:


What is an accent (its purpose, symbol, and location).
Noun, verb (transitive verb, intransitive verb), adjective, adverb
Idiom
The terms obsolete and chiefly British

Lesson 1 - Self Introduction


Basic and common self introduction
Accent placements - How old are you? How old are you?)
Basic propositions of date on, in (day, month, year)
Date of month of year structure (1st of June, 1980)
Question words what, where, when, how
The "th" pronunciation (John Smith)
Initial titles and names of occupations

Lesson 2 - Weekend dialogue (What do you usually do on weekends?)


Auxiliary do, does, did, and will
Adverbs of frequency
