As you get older, things get harder and more complicated.

There are a ton of

responsibilities you can't escape that it gets difficult to keep up. You sometimes find it
hard to balance everything.

Whether you admit it or not, your academic life usually suffers first, especially since
lessons get difficult as time goes by. You're left with so much stress and your eyebrows
seem to be the only thing that is on point. Don't worry because we totally get ya. Listed
below are ten simple but relevant tips to help you with your studies, things you might
have forgotten already.

1. Listen and comprehend.

It's important to be not only physically but also mentally present during class
discussions. Avoid daydreaming and focus on the lesson. When listening, make sure that
you just don't hear what your teacher is saying but also understand the idea and concept
of the topic. With this, it will be easier for you to remember the key points of the lesson.

2. Take note of the tasks you're given.

Have an organized list of assignments, projects, and requirements that you need to
accomplish. Take note of the details given by your teacher so that you will have the
expected output. Include the deadlines, too, for you to know what task to finish first and
what task to work on next.

3. Prioritize your schoolwork.

Avoid procrastinating and ending up rushing your tasks later. If your extra activity is not
that urgent and important, reschedule it and focus on your requirements instead. Don't
settle for mediocrity. Provide enough of your time to produce an output that meets the
standards of your teacher.

4. Read your notes if you have spare time.

If you can spend extra hours by watching movies or reading novels or excessive sleeping,
why not spend an hour or two reviewing your notes? Discipline yourself in studying. If
you hate the feeling of having many lessons to review before exams, familiarize yourself
with the lessons by reading them during your vacant period.

5. Do advance reading.
Have the initiative to read the topics that will be discussed in class. Don't just depend on
the notes given by your teacher and browse different reading materials.Try to
understand the concepts on your own and later clarify vague points with your teacher.
This will make you familiar with the lesson.

6. Participate in group discussions.

Learn not only by listening to your teacher or studying your lessons on your own but
also by exchanging ideas with your classmates. Involve yourself in discussions with your
classmates or with your friends because they might know ideas that you don't know and
vice versa.

7. Have a healthy lifestyle and diet.

Get enough sleep and enough food by following your timetable. Lack of sleep and
hunger during class hours may result to poor class participation. Make sure that you are
fueled before studying. It's easier to learn and accomplish schoolwork if you have the
right amount of energy to do so.

8. Set a goal and go beyond that.

Have a clear measure of what you want to achieve. Determine what you want. Set your
goal as the minimum standard and go beyond your expectations.

9. Forget about being the best and just do your best.

Keep in mind that studying is not a competition. Don't compete with others, compete
with yourself. It's not bad if you want to be one of the top students, but avoid being
pressured by the ranking that you forget about the essence of learning. Strive hard not
only to get high grades but also to learn. As the saying goes, doing your best is more
important than being the best.

10. Enjoy learning!

Study not because you have to study. Study because you want to learn. For you to be
successful in achieving a certain task, you have to put your heart in it. Don't feed
yourself with so much pressure. Enjoy studying just like how you enjoy doing
recreational activities because there is fun in learning, you just have to be willing to see
and experience it.

And there you have it! Your academic life will surely get a boost by following these easy
study tips. Keep in mind that some opportunities come to our lives once so let's not take
things for granted. Remember, on fleek eyebrows is not enough nowadays. Education is
very essential so get your studies on point.

5 Ways to Motivate You to Study

It's mind-boggling enough that we spend almost the whole day in school. If that wasn't
enough, the minute we get home, there may still be a pile of homework waiting for us.
Now, where in the world do we find the motivation to do all that? You might find it after
4 hours of surfing the net, but what we all need is an instant boost of motivation. Here
are a few tips that might help you. But remember, some ways might not be as effective
on other people!

1. Ready your study space.

Depending on what works best for you, your study area should be there to put you in the
mood to study. If having a clear desk helps you concentrate, do just that. If having a lot
of stuff on your table makes you feel more productive, put small piles around your study
area. Just make sure that it doesnt eat up so much of your time, and whether you hide
your school materials or lay them all out, make sure that you know exactly where they
are.

2. Schedule your day.

This is a more goal-oriented form of the traditional checklist. We all know how
satisfying it feels to tick a task off the things we need to do, but this won't work if our
time management is all over the place. Jot down everything you need to do, and think
about how long it should take you to finish a certain task in a productive way. Be as
realistic as you possibly can, and then stick to the time pressure. The satisfaction at the
end of the day will do you wonders.

3. Have a jar of quotes.

Have a jar filled with strips of paper that contain motivational quotes. Gather lines
online or from some of your favorite books that inspire you. You can print them out
using a small font or write them by hand if you feel like it. Stuff them in a jar, and
display it on your work area for easy access. Quotes work especially well when you don't
feel like doing anything at all. These simple lines can be an instant boost to your spirits.

4. Prepare some snacks.

I don't know about the rest of humanity, but I'm pretty sure having a nibble every now
and then makes me believe that I'm ready for anything. Snacks are great; just don't eat
too much or you might end up becoming sleepy. Brain food such as berries, dark
chocolate and nuts can be some of the healthy tidbits you can munch on before, during
and after you study. You can also prepare something extra tasty to serve as a positive
reinforcement after you finish all your goals for the day.

5. Set the right mindset.

No matter what you do, if you keep on telling yourself over and over again that you're
not in the mood to study, you never will be. The least you can do is try and guide your
mind to the right direction. Repeat to yourself that you are not going to slack off this
time. You are going to be productive. Trust me; this is so much better than psyching
yourself to be lazy.

8 Ways You Can Develop Good Study Habits

Student life can get difficult. With everything else that's happening, sometimes it
becomes hard to concentrate on your studies. Distractions also make it difficult to find a
study routine and stick to it. Some people may say that you should study more to get
better grades. Though that may be true, we think that you should study smarter. Here
are a few tips to get you started.

1 First of all, you have to get organized.

Keep a schedule of your classes, try to keep your notebooks and notes color-coded, or
keep your school bag clean and organized by using a bag organizer.

2 Manage your time well.

Don't try to cram everything the hour before the deadline. Schedule when you are going
to write that paper or review for an exam, and stick to a study plan. Of course, allot for
spare time to have some fun too!

3 Find a study routine that works for you.

Rewrite your notes, use mnemonics to memorize the terms for a Bio exam, or join study
groups.

4 Make sure you only bring the things you need, not the
things you want.
That way, there will be fewer distractions, and you'll get the job done faster!

5 Try reviewing over the weekend.

You'll be more prepared and confident for the days to come.

6 Don't forget to take care of your body and health as

well.
Get plenty of rest, drink tons of water, and eat nutritious meals to be the best you can
be.

7 Yes, you are strong and independent.

No, that doesn't mean you can't ask for help. Ask for some tips and advice from your
teachers, professors, or even your friends.

8 Take breaks and reward yourself!

Every half hour or every hour, take a break for a couple of minutes by having a snack or
a quick power nap. And once you've finished all your work? Celebrate by watching the
next episode of your fave series or by treating yourself to that delicious slice of blueberry
cheesecake.
