No of 21 students. Book/Page students Context of the lesson This lesson is for grade three boys and girls students. Students are going to learn about different cultures around the world. Teaching goal The overall aim of this lesson is to teach students different cultures in different countries around the world. Learning objectives At the end of the lesson students will be able to : Name different countries in the world. Identify different types of cultures in the world. Compare between the countries in different categories (Food, Holidays, Languages, and Music). Explain how the UAE culture is different than the other countries. Assumptions about prior learning Some students may able to identify different countries in the world. Some students may able to provide more information about the cultures. For example (Pasta is an Italian food). Some students may able to compare the UAE with other countries. For instance (In the UAE men wears kandura and gutra, however, in the USA men wear jeans and t-shirt). Anticipated problems and possible solutions Some students may not able to name different countries in the world, so the teacher will provide a video in the beginning of the lesson and the students will get some names and they will call them out. Some students may not able to compare between the countries in the world, so the teacher will provide pictures from the story that would support them to compare. Some students may not be able to give more information about the countries in the story, so the teacher will ask the students to talk about the UAE and compare it with the countries in the story.
