INTRODUCTION

The electronic controller DECOS 3 and DECOS3a used for LXE5C/10C and LXE5CA/10CA series units and the
electronic controller DECOS3b used for LXE10D series units and the electronic controller DECOS3c used for
LXE10E series unit has an internal memory which is used for regular temperature control and to record the set
temperature during transportation, inside temperature of container operation mode, output alarms and other data
and/or results of automatic PTI.
Record data and unit operation status data can be transferred to the personal computer through {the serial
communication port (RS-232C) provided at the front side of controller (DECOS3 and DECOS3a)}, {the P.C port
receptade provided at the front side of unit (DECOS3b and DECOS3c)}, thereby allowing the user to analyze
troubles which occur during transportation, to reveal the causes of troubles and to find failures or to make reports.
For automatic PTI reports, measurement data (CUT values of HPS, pull-down time, defrosting time) obtained in
automatic PIT are recorded and printed. If printer is not provided, reports can be output to the display of personal
computer.
The information such as container No., cargo name, and destination can be transferred to the controller to store
from the personal computer. This Operation Manual explains how to install the personal computer software and
how to use the software.
