BRICK LAYING & PLASTERING WORKS

METHOD STATEMENT

Setting out of brickworks: Lay-out and place markings
1 with reference to the grid lines and columns accordding
to the drawing.
Locate the position of the stiffener(if needed) and cast

before brickworks.
Site Batching of mortar mix: To used standard size

bucket to ensure correct proportion of materials.
Mixing of Cement mortar as specified in the construction
drawing/specification. And to regulate the quantity of

mortar being mixed, so that the mortar can be used up
within the working time.
Check the installation of Damp Proof Course on the
ground floor. Ensure that a layer of bituminous
5 compound is laid on the concrete floor base before
laying of the bituminous felt and the 12mm thick base
cement mortat.
Every three course exmet wire and the tie rod to be
6 bedded and ensure proper lapping of joining exmet wire.
Lintels to be installed for doors and windows opening
Cutting of Bricks: To used proper cutting machine or

with bolster and hammer.
Check alignment both horizontal and vertical as per work
8
progress.
Check consistency of the 10mm thick cement mortar
9
bedded on bricks.
Completed blocks to be left to cured for required period
10
of time.
Plastering works:Lay-out and place level pact on

completed masonry wall.

12 To apply spatterdash coat on RC wall.
