STULZ DATA CENTRE
OPTIMISATION
PLATFORM

Assess Instrument Optimise Control Sustain

Stulz Australia is focused on the most critical

components of Data Centre Infrastructure
Management (DCIM): power and cooling
infrastructure via mesh-wireless sensing
technology. The Data Centre Optimisation
Platform saves up to 50% of cooling
energy while delivering tangible ROI for
our customers.

Prior to wireless sensing technology, deployment of high

density sensing within the Data Centre was simply not
cost effective; not only from a physical infrastructure
perspective but also the solution lacked the versatility
and adaptability to easily respond to frequent changes
in load profile and room configuration.

Mesh wireless technology puts an end to those problems. It is a self-discovery, self-healing network that adheres to the Safe,
Affordable, Flexible and Easy (SAFE) principles of environmental monitoring. Any device within the mesh wireless network
(sensor or gateway) can communicate with any other device on the network. As a result, increasing the number of sensors
within the network increases the resiliency and redundancy of the system while offering superior data accuracy.

As well as ease of deployment and network management, the non-IP addressable system offers security against passive and
active IP-based attacks. Low power transmission, low duty cycle and channel adaptation are just a few of the design features
which allow the Stulz environmental monitoring system to co-exist with other wireless devices within the Data Centre.

OPTIMISATION LIVEIMAGING™ & ACTIVE CONTROL™
PLATFORM

LIVEIMAGING™

LiveImaging™ provides maps and movies detailing

the environmental and power conditions of
the data centre. They include temperature,
humidity, pressure differential and rack power
using real-time data at multiple levels of your data
centre. Customers can literally see hot spots and
direct airflow to avoid overheating or air mixing.

Real-time visualisations can not only be used by the facilities team

for day-to-day diagnostics and planning but, more importantly, for
real-time manual optimisation of cooling infrastructure to ensure
your Data Centre is operating at its most energy efficient.

ACTIVE CONTROL™

Active Control™ has a proven track record of achieving tangible ROI for customers, with payback timeframes consistently
less than 3 years and unprecedented energy savings. The Stulz Power Suite optimises power, enhances ROI, and enables
customers to stay within their current data centre footprint.

Direct Free Cooling

with optional Movable Coil (AMD)

In free cooling mode, the heat exchanger automatically moves away from
the supply air path to allow unimpeded flow of filtered ambient air into
critical space, thus reducing the pressure drop and lowering fan energy
consumption to further improve PUE.

Direct Free Cooling is available on both the CyberAir range (DFC2, Eco-cool2) and
MiniSpace range (Eco-cool).
