everything contained in this guide will function correctly on all variants of the Seat Ibiza/Cordoba
(6L).

Remember, before changing any coding or values on your vehicle, it is best practice to
record the existing value, so it can be reverted back if you are to encounter any issues.

Polo (9N) and Skoda Fabia (6Y), there may be a possibility that parts of this guide may work
with similar effects on these models as well. This has not been tested.

Version 1.2
Seat Ibiza/Cordoba (6L) (2002-2008) VCDS Guide
Getting Started
Welcome to the Seat Ibiza/Cordoba (6L) (2002-2008) VCDS Guide. This guide was produced
so that you, the owner, can activate or change various features on your Seat Ibiza or Cordoba.
This guide covers known tips and tricks and was made using VCDS 12.12.
VCDS-Lite can be downloaded for free from www.ross-tech.net and can be used with a
compatible FTDI FT232 Cable from eBay etc… however, unless it is registered, features are
very limited and will effect what you can do throughout this guide.
So what is VCDS?
VCDS (VAG-COM Diagnostic System) is powerful Windows-based software that allows a PC to
act as a diagnostic tool for most VW/Audi/SEAT/Skoda vehicles from 1994-current day.
If you are unfamiliar with the basic workings of VCDS, check out Ross-Tech‟s fantastic VCDS
User Manual - http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/main_screen.html
Key
Below is a breakdown of the different commands used throughout this guide.
[01 – Engine] = This is the control module as displayed within the „VCDS Select
Control Module‟ window. The control modules are always listed as
a number then the description.
[Login – 11] = This shows a specific button within a control module that needs
to be selected. Buttons are always listed as the description then a
number.
Enter “12233” = This shows what text or value you need to enter within a text
window. Only enter what is shown WITHOUT apostrophes, for
example 12233 not “12233”.
[Do It!] [Cancel] = These are action buttons within various screens throughout
VCDS. These only have to be selected once.
Enter Channel/Group “03” = This shows what text or value you need to enter within a group
or channel text box. Only enter what is shown WITHOUT
apostrophes, for example 03 or 3, not “03” or “3”.
#Blip Accelerator Pedal = This is a physical action that has to be carried out by the user. In
this case, blip the accelerator to settle the idle revs.
