Firmware Upgrade Procedure

Introduction
This procedure shows you how to upload a Firmware file to the SE8000 Series Room Controllers.

The SE8000 Uploader Tool can be installed on Computers and Tablets running the following operating systems:
• Microsoft Windows 7, 32-bit (requires Service Pack 1 and .NET framework 4.5).
• Microsoft Windows 7, 64-bit.
• Microsoft Windows 8, 32-bit and 64-bit

INSTALL UPLOADER TOOL


1. Download SE8000 Uploader Tool from Schneider Electric Exchange.
2. Download latest Firmware file from Schneider Electric Exchange.

COPY FIRMWARE FILE TO LOCAL DRIVE


1. Download necessary Firmware file to Desktop.
2. Navigate to C:\Uploader8000 folder.
3. Copy and paste Firmware file into Uploader8000 folder.
NOTE: Ensure to overwrite the existing file with the new file.

CONNECT TO SE8000 SERIES ROOM CONTROLLER


This procedure requires the use of a Micro-USB (B-type) to USB (A-type) cable.

1. Connect A-type plug to PC and connect B-type plug to SE8600 Room Controller (example shows SE8600 model).
2. Click desktop short-cut to activate Uploader Tool.
3. Toggle Advanced Mode.
4. Toggle Firmware and Fonts library.
5. Select Firmware file available in drop-down menu (screen shows example Firmware).
6. Click Upload and wait for operation to complete successfully.
NOTE: do not shut down Uploader tool or disconnect USB cable during this step until operation is complete.
7. Close Uploader Tool.
