1.What  is  a  gerund?  

It  is  a  noun  made  of  a  verb  adding  the  ending  "-­‐ing".  

2.Make  a  list  of  8  verbs  often  followed  by  gerunds?  

be  (  I  am  doing)  

can´t  help  (I  can´t  help  eating  cake...)  

avoid  (you  must  avoid  sleeping  in  the  bus)  

like    (  I  like  dancing)  

enjoy  (  I  enjoy  watching  TV)  

hate  (  I  hate  getting  up  early  in  the  morning)  

love  (  I  love  shopping  )  

mind  (  would  you  mind  helping  me?  )  

3.When  do  you  use  How  long  in  the  Present  Perfect?  

When  I  ask  about  the  length  of  time.  

4.When  do  you  use  for  and  since  in  the  Present  Perfect?  

When  I  answer  a  question  with  "How  long".    

5.What  does  “ever”  means  and  when  is  it  used?  (My  answer  is  in  spanish  because  
I  don´t  no  how  to  explain  it  )  

Ever  means  :  alguna  vez.  

It  is  use  to  ask  yes/no  questions  about  things  that  have  happened  in  the  past.  

B:  Develop  the  following  activities.  Use  the  grammar  in  Units  1-­‐2.  

Verbs  +  Gerunds:  Use  the  verb  in  the  parentheses.

Comparison:  Unscramble  the  sentences.

Present  Perfect:  Complete  the  sentences.  Use  since  and  for.
