Heat Mover Vent
Introduction
The Zefyr Heat Mover Ventilator range is designed for removal of high heat problems from
industrial buildings where structural limitations do not allow the installation of the
more efficient Zefyr HCD or monitor type ventilators.
The Heat Mover is a low profile, fully weather proof, operable
ventilator which can be readily installed in multiple
lengths depending on the building structure.
Designed with a high discharge coefficient, these
ventilators are tried, tested and proven on many
installations throughout the world.
Application
The Heat Mover is designed specifically for power
plants, aluminium smelters and industrial complexes
where low silhouette natural ventilation is the logical
choice.
The Heat Mover ventilator is particularly suited for lighter weight
applications where wind and dead loading factors are an important
consideration in the overall building design.
Installation
The Heat Mover is quick and easy to install
with all components pre-fabricated prior to
despatch. Comprehensive assembly
instructions are supplied with each order.
Construction
The vent can be manufactured from Versacor,
Armacor, HP200 Plastisol or Aluminium. The
units are designed to have a long maintenance-
free life under the most arduous of conditions.
Other material specifications are available
subject to their suitability for the work
environment – for more details contact your
local Zefyr agent/office for advice.

Performance
This latest development of the Zefyr Heat Mover ventilator has been designed and tested to
give maximum weather protection with the least resistance to air flow. The unique design of the splitter baffles and
gutters provides each unit with a minimum 65% free opening area and exceptional coefficient of discharge.
Fully certified full scale testing and more than 80 years product development and installations world-wide ensure
optimum performance.

Air Flow Characteristics –

The Heat Mover has been full scale tested for airflow characteristics as an exhaust ventilator.
It offers exceptionally low resistance to air flow for a low profile ventilator –
Cd = 0.45 for the base unit
Cd = 0.4 for the acoustically treated unit

Weather Protection –
The Heat Mover has been tested in accordance with international standards accredited to DIN13030 – to prove
performance in excess of 99.9% at air speeds of up to 18m/s.

Acoustic Performance

The Heat Mover due to its unique geometry offers exceptional acoustic performance with the option of
acoustic treatment to the upper roof assembly and to the vent body.

Structural –
Proven for wind and snow loading to DIN1055 Part 4 – suitable for applications over 100m high under extreme
conditions.
