Pre-requisites

1. User should be registered with Jade Global –

Download InfatoODI tool utility

Step-1 Get Started

Register with Jade Global to use the Informatica to ODI conversion tool. Click on “Get Started”
button for calculating your ROI by using Jade InfatoODI Conversion Tool.

Step-2 Registration with Jade

The below screen requires user registration details for calculating accurate ROI calculations. Fill
the registration form and click on “Download Complexity Analyser” link. Tool will be
downloaded into client machine.

Step-3 Get your License Key

After successfully registering your email address, an email will be sent to your email ID with the
following details:

Step-4 Download and install

Click Button “Download Complexity Analyser”, to download the tool. After download is
successful, extract the file into user selected folder and click on the .exe file to complete
installation process.

Access to InfatoOdi tool

Enter the Registered email id and License key information which is sent during registration
process.

Step-1 Informatica Server Connection

Provide Informatica Server connection details in below screen on click on Verify.

In the Repository Name field, enter the name of the repository which has to be converted from
Informatica to ODI.

In the Domain field, enter the DomanName/IP address of the Informatica server.

In the User Name and Password field, enter a valid Informatica user ID for which you have the admin
access and the respective password.

Note: The above user should have Admin access.

Step-2 DB Connection Details

On the below screens, you will need to provide following details:

a. Informatica database connection details

If the user does not have the access to DAC he should contact DBA to create MVs.

Please refer Annexure-1 to create MV.

Step-3 Analyze Informatica Mapping

On below screen you have to provide the folders that are to be exported and select the drive
which has to be created. Here are the following actions that takes place.

1. Exporting utility will generate mapping .xml files with respect to folders.
2. A csv file will be created on the click of analyze button.

Step-4 Upload Analysis File

On below screen you have to upload the generated csv, which is created in uploads folder. You
can also see the csv file by clicking on Click Here hyperlink. This file will be uploaded for analysis
purpose.

Step-5 Calculate My ROI

Clicking on “Calculate MY ROI ” launches the web browser and it guides the user to upload the
file for an analysis purpose.

a. Upload for Analysis: You need to browse the file which is shown on screen after click on
“Select A File” button.

b. Setup your ODI environment option: You need to select the option for setting up your
ODI Environment as well.
a. If you select the option “No” then your ROI will be calculated automatically.
b. If you selects the option “Yes” then the next screen will be display the number of
servers to be setup.

c. Your ROI Calculations: The below screen shows your ROI on the screen. This screen
displays actual savings in the amount in Dollar. The details will be sent to your Email
for further process.
