Personal Details & Achievements

I am a very determined, and highly motivated person who will always strive to achieve the best I possibly can. From University, I have continued to develop my skills with
both hand drawn design work and on CAD with programmes such as Photoshop and Illustrator, designing collections that I am extremely proud of. I see myself as a very
sociable person and love meeting new people in all kinds of environments. I also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as being very organised,
flexible and have effective time management, which has been highlighted in the high quality work I have produced in a small time scale, meeting deadlines.Aside from the
fashion industry, my other main interests are travelling the world, exploring new places and seeing different cultures. Spending time with others as well as meeting new
people at festivals, music gigs and social events are also something that I really enjoy.

Organising the annual Christmas party for my sixth form and 6 other colleges as well as my year 13 Prom in July 2015, both great successes.

The National Citizens Award in December 2014, where I learned many different skills such as team building, leadership, organisation skills, problem solving and organising
fundraising events for our chosen charity. I also met lots of new people in a different environment, a very enjoyable experience.

To also build on my confidence and communication skills, I have helped out many times in my textiles lessons helping to teach the younger years about fashion, textiles and
the construction process, aiming to inspire younger students to follow a similar pathway into the fashion industry.

Examples of Projects Examples of Modules & Projects:

Researching and creating a trend to base a menswear collection
upon. My collection was based on the differences between moden
vs traditional, creating an urban look with aspects of tailored
clothing, inspired by the streets of Amsterdam. As this was the first
project where we could develop our own trend, I really enjoyed the
process, learning and developing my research and CAD skills.

Working as a team, we collectively picked a chosen brand to

analyse and research in depth in order to create a presentation
and develop a collection upon. As this was the first group project,
we successfully worked well as a team, dividing the work up equally
according to each others strengths. Our hard work paid off in
order for us to achieve the highest grade.
The project brief was Sports Inspired Fashion (shown on the left).
By developing another trend, my main influence was geometric
collage art, where images of nature were developed into geometric
art. The main aspect of the trend was to contrast luxurious fabrics
to sporty silhouettes and vice versa, with the cold colour palette
shining through. This project has allowed me to excel on my design
work, especially within CAD, improving vastly.
