Qids Info

The Quick Inventory of Depressive Symptomatology (QIDS) is a 16-item self-report questionnaire used to rate the severity of depressive symptoms. It measures 9 symptom domains and yields a single total score. Higher total scores indicate more severe depressive symptoms. The QIDS has been validated in patients with chronic major depression and has good psychometric properties. It takes about 5 minutes for patients to complete. Norms and guidelines for interpreting the scores are provided. The QIDS is available in multiple languages including a validated Romanian version.
