FAQ
ISO 14001 or ISO 50001?
ISO 14001 addresses energy as part of the use of natural resources and environmental impact,
amongst requirements to manage environmental impact.
Both standards have a similar result: reduced environmental impact, yet they have different objectives,
paths, requirements and benefits. ISO 50001 is focused more on the optimization of consumption
leading to financial savings.
An organization can be certified to ISO 50001 without having an ISO 14001 management system.
