Part A: Q1:-Differentiate Layer Masks and Vector Masks?
Li Layers were first commercially available in Fauve Matisse (later Macromedia ores), and then
[1]
available in Adobe Photoshop 3.0, in 1994, but today a wide range of other programs, such as
Photo-Paint, Paint Shop Pro, the GIMP, Paint.NET, StylePix, and even batch processing Stools
like Batch Image Processor also include this feature.
A Layer can have a certain transparency/opacity and a number of other properties. In a high end
program like Adobe Photoshop, a basic layer may have more than a hundred different possible
settings. Even though some of them overlap and give the same result, they give a skilled user a lot
of flexibility. A free program like the GIMP may not have as many settings, but well used they
can often provide a satisfactory result.
Adjustment layer
An adjustment layer typically applies a common effect like brightness or saturation to other
layers. However, as the effect is stored in a separate layer, it is easy to try it out and switch
between different alternatives, without changing the original layer. In addition, an adjustment
layer can easily be edited, just like a layer mask, so an effect can be applied to just part of the
image.
A gradient is applied as an adjustment layer to the entire image except the oval in the middle,
which was cut out from the adjustment layer.
Stereoscopy, stereoscopic imaging or 3-D
(three-dimensional) imaging is any technique capable of recording three-dimensional visual
information or creating the illusion of depth in an image. The illusion of depth in a photograph,
movie, or other two-dimensional image is created by presenting a slightly different image to each
eye. Many 3D displays use this method to convey images. It was first invented by Sir Charles
Wheatstone in 1840. Stereoscopy is used in photogrammetric and also for entertainment
[1]
through the production of stereo grams. Stereoscopy is useful in viewing images rendered from
large multi-dimensional data sets such as are produced by experimental data. Modern industrial
three dimensional photography may use 3D scanners to detect and record 3 dimensional
information. The three-dimensional depth information can be reconstructed from two images
[2]
using a computer by corresponding the pixels in the left and right images. Solving the
Correspondence problem in the field of Computer Vision aims to create meaningful depth
information from two images.
Traditional stereoscopic photography consists of creating a 3-D illusion starting from a pair of 2-
D images. The easiest way to create depth perception in the brain is to provide the eyes of the
viewer with two different images, representing two perspectives of the same object, with a minor
deviation similar to the perspectives that both eyes naturally receive in binocular vision. If
eyestrain and distortion are to be avoided, each of the two 2-D images preferably should be
presented to each eye of the viewer so that any object at infinite distance seen by the viewer
should be perceived by that eye while it is oriented straight ahead, the viewer's eyes being neither
crossed nor diverging. When the picture contains no object at infinite distance oud, the pictures
should be spaced correspondingly closer together.
Ans3:-filters for the Artistic submenu help you achieve painterly and artistic effects for a fine
arts or commercial project. For example, Use the cut out filter for collage or for typography.
These filters replicate natural or traditional media effects.
Distort:-
The distort filters geometrically distort an image, creating 3D or other reshaping
effects Note that these filters can be very memory intensive .the diffuse glow, glass and ocean
ripple filters can be applied through the filter gallery.
Noise:-
The noise filters add or remove noise, or pixels with randomly distributed color levels.
This helps to blend a selection into the surrounding pixels. Noise filters can create unusual
textures or remove problem areas, such as dust and scratches.
RENDER:-
The render filters create 3D shapes , cloud patterns , refraction patterns, and simulated light
reflections in an image . you can also manipulate objects in 3D space , create 3D objects and
create texture fills form grayscale files to produce 3D-like effects for lighting.
Sharpen:-
The sharpen filters focus blurred images by increasing the contrast of adjacent pixels.
Focuses a selection and improve its clarity. The sharpens only edges while preserving the overall
smoothness of the image.
BRUSH-STROKES:-
Like the Artistic filters, give a painterly or fine-arts look using different brush and link stroke
effects. Some of the filter add grain, paint, noise, edge detail , or texture. All the brush stroke
filters can be applied through the filter gallery.
Pixel ate View:-
The filters in the pixel submenu sharply define a selection by clumping pixel within of similar
color values in cells. The effect of using an enlarged halftone screen on each channel of the image.
