There will be two exams and two projects that will be completed during this course. An
exit ticket will be given each day and will need to be completed before leaving class. This how I
take attendance, so it is important that is turned in each day. If a student needs to leave class
early let me know right at the beginning of class, so I can give it to out earlier. Participation
points will be given throughout the semester for participation in class discussions, and
activities. Assignments will be completed in class and will be given throughout the semester. If
an assignment or project is marked down, students will have one week to correct mistakes and
turn it back in to be recorrected.

Rules

Students will need to show respect toward one another and to the teacher. Respect is
shown when students arrive to class on time, by raising a hand before speaking, staying on task,
participating in discussions, having required materials, paying attention to directions, and not
standing up (throwing away garbage, sharpening a pencil, etc.) at inappropriate times.
Inappropriate times would be while I am giving instructions or a lecture. Appropriate times
would include beginning or end of class, between activities while working on an assignment,
working on a project, and working on exit tickets.

Additional Details

Late work: Late work will be accepted one week after due date.
Attendance: Assignments, exit tickets, and participation are taken in class, so attendance is
mandatory. If a student needs to miss class, makeup work can be done for assignments, but
participation points and the exit tickets cannot be made up. Tardiness will be noted, if becomes
regular, participation points will be docked.
Cell phones: Cell phones will need to on silent during class and cannot be used for personal use
during class. During class, they will need to be in a bag or face down on the desk.
Extra Credit: No extra credit will be given. Students will have instead have the opportunity to
redo assignments and projects.

If students have any disabilities, allergies, or need any accommodations please talk to me about
it at the begging of the course.
