What Is Engineering

Engineering is the process of solving real-world problems in both structured and unstructured ways. Engineers start by breaking down problems in an unstructured manner and using creative techniques to solve them. Over time, successful techniques become structured approaches within an engineering discipline. New problems are then addressed using these structured methods as well as new innovative techniques, which may become part of the structured domain if effective. The major engineering domains currently are electrical, mechanical, civil, and chemical engineering.

What is Engineering?

Engineering is the solution process of real-world problems in a structured and non-structured manner.
Engineering starts by dissecting a problem in an unstructured manner and then solving it by
unstructured techniques and tricks. In time, the cumulation of previous tricks and techniques forms a
structure and a new engineering discipline born. Then, every subsequent new problem is approached
using previously used structured techniques and as well as using new unstructured and innovative
techniques. If these new techniques functionally works then they also get a position in the developed
engineering domain.

Currently, most influencing engineering domains are –

1. Electrical Engineering
2. Mechanical Engineering
3. Civil Engineering
4. Chemical Engineering
