Lesson Plan CHE553 Sept2017
2.0 SYNOPSIS
The course deals with the principles of chemical engineering thermodynamics:
thermodynamics of mixtures, vapor-liquid equilibria, chemical reaction equilibria and
the application of equilibrium concept to the chemical engineering processes.
3.0 OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:
1. Explain the concepts of vapor liquid equilibrium, chemical equilibrium and
solution thermodynamics
2. Apply the principles of vapor liquid equilibrium, chemical equilibrium and
solution thermodynamics to solve chemical engineering problem
3. Evaluate the problem related to vapor liquid equilibrium, chemical equilibrium
and solution thermodynamics
