CONDITION SUMMARY:

SITUATION:

The keyless entry system lock function may not operate or operates intermittently.

CAUSE:

This may be caused by water ingress into the exterior door handles preventing correct operation of the keyless entry lock
function.

WORKSHOP PROCEDURE:

If the customer concern relates to the exterior front (only) or front AND rear door handle(s) keyless entry system locking not
operating as it should, go to Step 1.

If the customer concern relates to the exterior rear (only) door handle(s) keyless entry system locking not operating as it
should, go to Step 2.

Refer to the illustration for the different handle types to make sure the correct replacement handle(s) is ordered for
the vehicle.
1 'dimple' type handle (LR061200)
2 'stripe' type handle (LR040667)
3 'chrome' type handle (supplied by color)

Inspect the new door exterior handle(s) for the identification mark.

NOTE:

If required: the exterior front door handle(s) must be painted before installation.

Replace the defective front exterior door handle(s) (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 501-14: Exterior Front Door
Handle).

If required: the exterior rear door handle(s) must be painted before installation.
