Kreu 1 Hammurabi's Law and Mosaic Law

The document describes two ancient legal codes: the Code of Hammurabi from ancient Babylon and the Mosaic law given to Moses in the Bible. The Code of Hammurabi was one of the earliest and most complete written legal codes, established around 1754 BC, addressing civil and criminal laws. It was inscribed on stone pillars and distributed throughout Hammurabi's kingdom. The Mosaic law was given to Moses by God on Mount Sinai around the 13th century BC and formed the earliest law for the people of Israel, addressing moral and religious laws. Both legal codes influenced their societies and shared a focus on family structure and moral conduct.
