Logitrac™ Lamp Monitoring System
The Logitrac Lamp Monitoring System provides advanced control and moni- 1 5 0 0 1 9 0 - -

If the airport is using Fiber optic cabling in addition to power line carrier than an
option is the Fiber Logitrac Device (FLD). The FLD communicates via fiber optic
lines to provide a faster and more efficient way of controlling and monitoring
indiviual lamps. With the FLD you can avoid electromagnetic interference field
issues due to low insulation resistance on the series circuit. The FLD does not re-
quire a CLA to communicate to the ALCMS system. The FLD has a data commu-
nication faster than 1 Mbps ensuring a faster response time that with a standard
system The FLD installed at each lamp enables the control and monitoring of
one or two lead lamp fixtures when connected between the fixture and isola-
tion transformer (L830/L831). The FLD is a fully encapsulated device that is IP68
rated to protect against the elements and other damage. The FLD can support
fixtures up to 400W each.

ALCMS Components
Industrial Grade Computers
As per FAA AC 150/5345-56 all of the computers used in all
locations of the ALCMS system are industrial grade computers
designed for industrial applications. These computers are much more
reliable and have a greater processing power than normal computer. It is
important to have a reliable industiral computer to ensure that there are
no unexpected and potentially dangerous interruptions to the lights on
the airfield. The computers use Intel™ core processors, have the capacity
for additional RAM use Windows operating system with ALCMS software
and database. All computers also include keyboard and mouse. Mobile
computer units are also available to control and monitor the system

inside. The UPS delivers continuous, high-quality AC power to the
computer equipment without a break when switching to a generator.
