Lesson Plan

The document provides a detailed lesson plan about the importance of the sun. The lesson plan outlines objectives to link energy use in living things to the sun, cite sun benefits, and infer sun effects on plant growth. Key learning points are that the sun affects time telling, outdoor activities, animal adaptation and response, and provides energy for photosynthesis in plants. Students participate in activities to identify sun parts, discuss how the sun impacts living things, and answer review questions.

c. infer the effect of sun to plant growth

II. Learning Content

A. Topic: The importance of the Sun
B. Materials: Day and Night Model, ppt, picture

the sun and moon. What will happened if half of
the Earth facing to the sun?

E. Lesson Proper
How does the sun affect activities of living
things?

1. Telling time
Before watches and clocks were
invented, people depend on sunlight to
tell time and this is called Sundial
Time.
2. Physical and outdoor Activities
Peoples outdoor activities are
influenced by the sun.
Which outdoor activities do you like
the most?
Playing Kites!

3. Animal Adaptation and Response

Animals have different behavior. They

behave in response in their
environment. A stimulus is a change in
the environment to which organism
respond in many ways.

How does the cat react to the ray of

light? the cat hide in under the car away from the sun
rays.
In this case, the heat from the sun
become stimulus. The cats movement
is the response. Heat makes animals
move to cold places.

4. Energy
Lets use plant as an example.
Do plants live without sun?
No
Plants need energy from the sun to
manufacture their own food
(photosynthesis) the energy in the food
you eat also comes from the sun.

F. Abstraction
1. How does the sun affect activities of
living things?

2. What do we call when we use the sun d. Energy
as a time? Sundial Time
3. Does the plants live without sun?
No
G. Evaluation

1. It depends on the sunlight to tell time.

2. What do the plants need from the sun? 1.Sundial Time
