Post Lesson Reflection 6

The lesson was about food chains in science class. The teacher chose an easy approach for the students to understand the concept clearly as they did not have prior background knowledge. Games and hands-on activities like sorting items into baskets engaged the students and helped them learn while playing. Worksheets were also used to assess individual understanding. While student participation was high, the teacher realized she did not fully know one of the answers to a student's question. For the next lesson, she intends to thoroughly learn all answers and prepare different ways to teach the material at various student levels.

Overall aim and context of the lesson

Deliver the idea to the students in an easy way and fun.

 I chose the easy way to can understand clearly the lesson because they didn't have a background about it.
 So, make them study and play same time.

Choose two aspects from the competency areas to evaluate and discuss (one paragraph each)
according to following

Firstly, discuss one aspect that YOU feel you did very well. Try to analyze why you think it worked
well and what hints you would share with other teachers about the successful strategy/
resource/activity/management style etc.

The lesson today was very good almost all the students were sharing. Also, they were very interesting during the
lesson playing and learning same time. The resource baskets and the students have to sorting the things. Also,
worksheet the students will do in an individual to can I know if they understand what they do or not.

Secondly, elaborate on the aspect identified by YOU that requires attention. Discuss what the
problem was, why it occurred and what action you intend to take to be more successful in the next
lesson.

I have to know the answers before I teach the students. Because one of the students ask me a question and I was
not sure about it.
Personal focus for next lesson:

 I have to know each answer in my lesson and many ways to teach them for each level.
