FROM THE REGIONS (GAMABA)

I. OBJECTIVES
A. Content Standards The learner's shall be able to understand the significant roles of artists from
the regions.
B. Performance Standards The learner's shall be able to create avenues to advocate the arts from the
different regions.
C. Learning At the end of the session, learners will be able to:
Competencies/Objectives 1. interprets and relates the significance of arts forms from the regions
Write the LC code for each 2. understands the significance of propagating folk or traditional arts
3. promotes arts from the regions
II. SUBJECT MATTER:
a. Content Significant Contemporary artists from the regions

b. Materials PowerPoint, Projector, Laptop, pair of sticks
c. References Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions by: Flaudette May Datuin
et al.
III. PROCEDURES
A. Review Review the previous lesson. (Myth or Fact) (5min)
B. MOTIVATION (By Group ) ( 7min)
Write a eight line composition about the topic that will be assigned to your
group. It should consist of seven syllables in each line that rhyme.
To the parents

To the elders
To the society
Everyday life
C. LESSON PROPER Introduction: (7 min)
Correlate your eight line composition to your daily lives.
Give the importance of this kind of composition in the life of the people of
Hanunuo Mangyans

D. ACTIVITY (By Group) (10min)


Draw lots of 8 line composition and they will be given 10 mins to compose
a tune that will fit the lyrics.
E. APPLICATION (By Group) (5 min)
Singing, Playing and Improvising Accompaniment
Sing your composition in class and improvise a rhythmic pattern using a
pair of stick for each member and a create a movement for their
performance.

 What is the mood of your composition?
