Web 2.0 Tool for Classroom Teachers

Raven Williams
Tool Name Description
(Hyperlinked)
Kahoot is an engaging and interactive classroom response tool that can be used in any
kindergarten through college classroom. Quizzes, discussions, and surveys can be created as a
formative or summative assessment for students to reflect on the material they learned from the
Kahoot.com unit/lesson.

Classroom Use: I would use Kahoot as an engaging assessment tool. Instead of giving my students a paper-based test or quiz, I would
change the format in which I would normally give my students and use Kahoot. This tool would keep my students engaged and encourage
them to actively participate to do their best because although they will be having fun, they would still be receiving a grade. The topics or
skills I cover would include but not be limited to reading comprehension, phonemic awareness, spelling words, math concepts, and/or
social studies themes/topics.
