1) The document provides instructions for taking C1 and C2 measurements on a transformer using a Tan Delta kit. 2) For C1 measurement in UST-R mode, the HV terminal is connected to the CT main HV point and the red terminal is connected to the tan delta point. Readings are taken at 2KV, 5KV and 10KV. 3) For C2 measurement in GSTg-R mode, the HV terminal is connected to the CT tan delta point and the red terminal is connected to the CT main HV point. 1. Connect Tan Delta Kit HV terminal to CT main HV Point as shown in FIG-1.


2. Connect Tan delta kit Red measuring Terminal to CT tan delta Point.
3. Secondary of CT’s must be shorted or connected to secondary instruments.
4. Take reading on 2 KV, 5KV and 10 KV on UST-R mode through Delta 4000 kit.

2. Connect Tan delta kit Red measuring Terminal to CT main HV Point as shown in fig-2.
3. Secondary of CT’s must be shorted or connected to secondary instruments.
4. Take reading on 0.5 KV and 1 KV on GSTg-R mode through Delta 4000 kit. Don’t go
beyond 1 KV while measuring C2 Measurement.
